Terms of Service

These terms are a contract between you and Byobridge, an individual sole trader based in England, trading as BYO Bridge ("we", "us").

By creating an account you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.

1. What the service does

BYO Bridge lets you connect your own AI provider key (OpenRouter or OpenAI) and your own Notion integration token, then apply AI-generated text edits to Notion pages you choose, using Notion's public API.

2. Your account

• You must be 18 or over.
• You sign in with a link sent to your email. Keep your email account secure: anyone who can read it can sign in as you.
• You're responsible for what happens under your account.

3. Bring your own key: your costs, your responsibility

• You pay your AI provider directly. Every run sends text to the provider you chose, using your key, and they bill you. One run can make up to 25 API calls (one per text block). We don't see or control those bills. Set a spending limit with your provider.
• You're responsible for following the terms of Notion, OpenAI and OpenRouter. You take on any risk that they restrict, rate-limit, suspend or revoke your account, keys or tokens.
• AI output can be wrong. Edits overwrite text on your page, and bold, italic or similar formatting on edited blocks may be lost. Use Preview before writing changes, and use Notion's page history to undo. You're responsible for checking what the AI writes.

4. No affiliation with Notion

BYO Bridge is an independent tool. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Notion Labs, Inc., OpenAI or OpenRouter. We use their names only to describe what we work with. Notion can change or withdraw its API at any time. If that stops the service working for you, or Notion acts against your account or tokens, that isn't something we control or are responsible for.

5. Plans and pricing

• Free: 5 runs in total. A run is any press of Preview or Run, including runs that end in an error.
• Premium: £8 per month, with no cap on the number of runs, subject to the fair-use limits in section 7. We are not VAT-registered, so no VAT is added; £8 is the full price.
• Premium renews automatically every month on the date you subscribed, and you are charged £8 each time until you cancel. Payments are handled by Stripe.
• If we change the price, we'll email you at least 30 days beforehand. The new price only applies from your next renewal after that notice, and you can cancel before it takes effect.
• We'll send renewal reminders and other subscription notices as required by UK law.

6. Cancelling and refunds

• Cancel any time yourself: Dashboard → Account → Manage subscription → Cancel. It takes a few clicks and you don't need to contact us. You can also email Rashwaab@gmail.com and we'll cancel it for you.
• Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current paid month. You keep Premium until then and won't be charged again.
• 14-day refund: if you cancel within 14 days of your first Premium payment, email us and we'll refund that payment in full.
• Otherwise we don't refund part-used months, except where the law requires it.

7. Fair use

Don't use the service to break the law, process content you have no right to edit, attack or overload the service, get around rate limits or the free-run limit, or resell access. To keep the service stable we limit every account to 5 runs per minute and 25 text blocks per run. We may suspend accounts that break these rules. If we close a paid account through no fault of yours, we'll refund any unused part of your month.

8. The service is provided "as is"

This is a small, independently run service. We don't guarantee it will always be available, uninterrupted or error-free, and we may change or stop it. If we stop Premium permanently, we'll refund any unused part of your current month. Nothing in these terms affects your legal rights as a consumer, including your right to a service provided with reasonable care and skill.

9. Our liability

• Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot legally be limited.
• We're not responsible for: charges from your AI provider; anything Notion, OpenAI or OpenRouter does; the content AI models produce; or losses you could reasonably have avoided (for example by using Preview or Notion's page history).
• If you use the service for business, we're not liable for lost profits, revenue, business or data.
• Apart from the cases above that cannot be limited, our total liability to you for all claims is limited to £8, the price of one month of Premium.

10. Ending your account

You can delete your account at any time from Dashboard → Account → Delete account. This also cancels any active subscription immediately. See our Privacy Policy for what gets deleted.

11. Changes to these terms

If we make a significant change, we'll email you at least 30 days before it applies. If you don't agree, you can cancel before then.

12. Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and disputes go to the courts of England and Wales. If you're a consumer living in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also bring proceedings in your local courts. Please email us first. Most problems can be sorted out quickly.
